Living With…Episode 004 Christina Soto, Hodgkin’s Lymphoma Survivor

The Cancer GamePlan

Welcome to the show everyone. I hope you are all well.
My guest today is the host of the popular podcast The Cancer GamePlan.
She is a two-time survivor of stage IV Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
She’s been through the challenges – emotional, physical, psychological and financial – that come along with a cancer diagnosis.
When she was just 32 years old her doctor uttered the three words you never want to hear, “YOU HAVE CANCER”.
She endured 16 months of treatment – chemotherapy, radiation and a stem cell transplant – before she was finally declared cancer free! She thought, finally the worst was now behind her, but the hardest part of her cancer battle was just beginning.
After a 3-week hospital stay for a stem cell transplant she found herself in incredible pain and on the brink of a full-on meltdown. She was in a constant state of panic and fear, which left her an emotionally-drained insomniac.
She came up with her own Cancer GamePlan to get her life back. She needed to address what was truly causing her fear, anxiety, physical pain, sadness, and confusion. She sat down and wrote out action plans for overcoming each of these 5 pain points.
She was finally on her way back to LIFE!
So she and her partner (Andres) decided to quit their jobs, sell everything they owned, start a business and travel the world.
